Long Island Resort Wins 2010 Queensland Tourism Award

Long Island Resort, Whitsundays has once again secured its position as one of Queensland’s leading affordable getaway locations for families and couples when it won the Standard Accommodation category at the 2010 Queensland Tourism

Long Island Resort beat fellow Whitsunday Tourism awards finalist Club Crocodile Resort, Airlie Beach to take out the reputable award. The Queensland Tourism Awards showcases and awards the state’s best operators, businesses and individuals that go beyond excellence and strive towards great tourism products, fantastic customer service and accommodation.
General Manager of Long Island Resort Michelle Flynn said she was delighted with the award win and believes the resort’s position as the best value island holiday available in the Whitsundays has certainly been recognised by the judging panel this year.

“Winning this award after being in the finalist of the Whitsundays Tourism awards for several  years   is a fantastic achievement and I’m extremely proud of my fantastic team who consistently deliver a fabulous Long Island experience to our guests” Ms Flynn said.
